This verse from John 15 tells us that the greatest sacrifice anyone can make is to put themselves in harms way in order to rescue or protect someone that they love. Although Jesus was probably referring to his own upcoming crucifixion, I think this also applies to the soldiers and public servants who defend our freedom and protect our families and homes everyday or even a parent who risks their comfort and safety for their own child. $5.00 |
